Dr. Pinson graduated in the top 1% of her class in 1982 from Howard University College of Dentistry. After serving seven years as a general dentist she was compelled to broaden her career to the field of periodontics because she had seen far too many patients losing their teeth due to periodontal disease. She completed her Post Doctoral studies at the Medical College of Georgia in 1991 and chose to stay in the Augusta area after graduation and open her private practice. Several of the patients she saw during her residency are still active in her private practice.
She is a member of: American Dental Association (ADA), Georgia Dental Association (GDA), Eastern District Dental Association, Augusta Dental Society, Stoney Medical, Dental & Pharmaceutical Society, Americal Academy of Periodontology & Southern Academy of Periodontology She has a faculty appointment in the Department of Periodontology at the Medical College of Georgia and participates in numerous community dental awarness campaigns.
